PROJECT ENGINEER - ARIZONA

Prepare plan sets for site grading, drainage, paving and utilities for retail, commercial and residential projects; ensure compliance for codes, laws, ordinances and agency requirements; evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques and procedures for design projects; prepare conventional engineering reports, storm water management plans, submittals, and specifications; meet with clients and municipalities as necessary; attend and make presentations at public meetings as indicated; organize and assemble complete project documents for review by project manager, or senior project engineer, work within agreed upon timeline and budget and inform project manager of potential or anticipated changes in scope, which may affect budget or schedule; maintain design team progress in absence of project manager; manage project files in accordance with established company procedures; interact with clients related to general scope or specific project issues; prepare permit applications for review by project manager; manage and coordinate the work of design engineers and technicians on the project team; attend continuing education programs as appropriate to maintain proficiency in current practices; perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications include: 

The person chosen for this position must have a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, a P.E. registration, proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, Land Development Desktop, Word, hydrology and earthwork software; 4+ years experience in site engineering design; knowledgeable of regulatory permitting and possess a clear understandg of the types of permits needed for specific projects.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES TECHNICIAN - ARIZONA

Perform the duties and authorities as defined in the State of Arizona Standard Specifications for Road and Bridges as well as state and local specifications for underground utility cnstruction.  May also be asked to perform survey duties, basic engineering design work, and other tasks as assigned by the Field Services Manager and/or Branch Manager.  The Construction Services Technician position falls under the supervision of the Field Services Manager.

Qualifications include:

The person chosen for this position shall possess a minimum of an Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent classroom and/or related work experience.  Experience related to road/bridge construction, installation of underground utilities (sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main; preferable.  Must have a working knowledge of basic surveying and shall be capable of completing simple level loops, offset staking and calculation and staking of line and grade from established vertical and horizontal control.  Math skills of basic trigonometry and basic algebraic functions with the ability to visualize design items in a spatial plan.  Approximately 85% of the individual's time shall be spent outside of the office in the performance of their duties with the remaining 15% being devoted to completion of tasks as assigned by the individual's supervisor.  Approximately 90% of the individual's time shall be spent in the performance of their duties without direct supervision.  The individual is responsible for relaying all required information to their supervisor in clear, concise and objective terms and must posses strong written and oral communications skills. Individual must be, self-motivating, objective, mature, and have demonstrated problem-solving skills.  Individual will be required to deal professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds on a consistent basis.  Physical requirements of the position;  Vision correctable to acceptable legal limits.  Hearing correctable to acceptable legal limits.  Traverse construction sites with even and/or irregular grades, during all weather conditions.  Fill out daily reports in near and legible manner.  Physical demands of the position are:  Lift up to 75 pounds on a limited basis.  Be able to meet State and Federal regulations for Confined Space Entry work.  Tolerate temperature extremes of approximately minus five degrees Fahrenheit to approximately one hundred and fifty degrees Fahrenheit.  Perform other duties as requested.

FIELD SURVEY TECHNICIAN/ ROD MAN - ARIZONA

Under the direction of the Surveyor Crew Chief, assist in surveying land. Hold level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes for mapmaking, construction, land and other surveys. Record readings. Mark points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying mark. Measure distance between survey points. Mark measuring points and places stakes in appropriate locations. Inventory equipment every morning before leaving for Job site. Maintain truck supplies. Adjust and calibrate total stations and peg levels on a monthly basis at minimum.

Qualifications include:

The person chosen for this position shall possess a minimum of a High School Diploma and/or related work experience. Must have a valid driver's license, and in good physical health to work outdoors, including placement of survey monuments and/or markers in the ground. Perform other duties as requested.
