National Survey & Engineering Provides Pro Bono Services for Philanthropic Project at Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center, Newburg
BROOKFIELD, WIS. – National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates, Inc. — civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture, GIS and 3D visualization consultants — Brookfield, Wis., is providing pro bono services for an 1,800-square-foot planned activities and office building at the 64-acre site of Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center in Newburg, Wisconsin – the Metropolitan Builders Association’s (MBA) 2007 philanthropic project.
National Survey & Engineering is providing visualization, landscape architectural and surveying services to MBA. The firm used three-dimensional visualization technology to prepare a rendering to be used by MBA as a visual aid to garner project support from its members in the form of materials, labor and monetary donations for construction. Landscape architectural services being provided include the preparation of a plan that promotes sustainable, native landscaping; natural aesthetics; and interpretive/educational opportunities.
The Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center offers a peaceful, private, natural setting ideal for group outings for those with special needs or for self-facilitated healing workshops and seminars. For more information, visit www.bluelotusfarm.org. The project is anticipated for completion in June.
