National Survey & Engineering's Jon Chapman, Visualization Division Manager, Receives Sales and Marketing Achievement Award from The Metropolitan Builders Association

BROOKFIELD, WIS. – Jon Chapman, visualization division manager, of National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates, Inc. — civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture, GIS and 3D visualization consultants — Brookfield, Wis., received the 2007 Sales and Marketing Achievement Award from The Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA) on Friday, May 4, at the 13th Annual Sales and Marketing Achievement Awards dinner.
This award is bestowed annually on one individual who has demonstrated a true commitment to improving the level of professionalism of all sales and marketing professionals in the building industry. The criteria calls for someone who has gone above and beyond to help promote education, professionalism, and achievement in sales and marketing. In addition, this individual must have given of their time not only to the MBA, but also to the Sales and Marketing/Public Relations Council.
Chapman has been very active in the MBA for more than five years. He has served on the Government Affairs/Developers Council, the Commercial Council, the Associate Advisory Board, the Sales & Marketing Public Relations Council, the Education Committee and the SMC Awards Committee.
Chapman has more than 16 years of extensive experience in the virtual imaging profession, working with clients in the architecture, engineering and building industries. As the division manager of visualization services for National Survey & Engineering, he oversees the group’s efforts in creating virtual tours, renderings and interactive tools that are used in pre-sales marketing and the entitlement process. Chapman is a pioneer and one of the earliest users of 3D animation.
Chapman and his staff have provided visualization services to the MBA for several recent projects including assisting in the development of a new geolocator on MBA’s Web site to increase Web traffic; preparing computerized color renderings for this year’s MBA Parade of Homes; and providing visualization services pro bono for the MBA’s 2007 philanthropic project – a new office and activities building at the Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center in Newburg, Wis. National Survey & Engineering is also providing surveying and landscape architectural services for the Blue Lotus project.
Chapman lives in Elkhorn, Wis.
