Sustainable Design/LEED®
Johnson Bank
Brookfield, Wisconsin
R.A. Smith National developed plans for MRED-Cummings and Johnson Bank for a new Johnson Bank facility on a former restaurant site at the corner of North Avenue and Lilly Road in the City of Brookfield, Wis. Johnson Bank pursued a more environmentally friendly development by using sustainable design principles and standards outlined by the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® certification program.
R.A. Smith National was able to overcome many design challenges including onsite wetlands, floodplain issues, and site constraints which necessitated underground storm water management and creative site design techniques. Innovative site engineering and landscape architectural services were provided for this unique project, which is currently seeking a LEED® Gold certification through the USGBC.
